Logitech G710+ using Elementary OS

I recently bought a Logitech G710+ keyboard. I configured the G keys using Windows 7, where they are working fine. But they were not identified in Elementary OS.

Then I found this link, which provides a ubuntu driver for this keyboard. I followed the instructions provided on that page, and rebooted my system. Now the only positive change is: that the orange LED behind the M1-3 keys is visible when an M key is pressed.

I tried running xev in my terminal, but found that on pressing the G1 key, I get the following output:

So basically, as written in the link provided above, G1 pressed emits M1 down, then G1 down, then G1 up, then M1 up. But how do I configure these keys?

Also, on running the below command:

lsmod | grep g710

I get the following result:

Has anybody been able to get this to work? Any help would be appreciated.
