VR Headset for PC Monitor

I was wondering if it is possible to make a VR headset like google cardboard for big PC monitor to view side by side 3D video. I don't like the quality of Anaglyph with ghosting effect.

Is it possible to create something like this? If yes please give some suggestion how to make.
