How to check a torrent if it is downloaded correctly?

I know there are tools like md5 and SHA-256 for checking the downloaded files if they are downloaded correctly. Are there similar tools for torrents? For example, I wanted to download a video from a torrent hosting site. After I download half of it, my torrent client crashes. I opened another client and checked the file. It says checked integrity and resumes downloading again. But, can we have any assurance that the file is completely free from any corruption? Please omit any errors.
