Firefox often not going to the desired link the first time?

Quite often I will have to click on a link a second time after the page loads with the same thing to go to the second link. As in, I'll be on let's say stackexchange and I'll click on a link to go to another board or ask a question. The page will reload with the same content and I'll click on the link again for it to work. I'm probably missing something in the settings or similar and I'm just not aware of it. Wouldn't really bother me so much if it did the same thing when typing in URLs.
