I am preparing for an Exam and would like to know whether this diagram of the Von Neuma Architecture is correct or not. The full form of the acronyms (on the diagram) are as follows:
PC: Program Counter
MAR: Memory Adress Register
MDR: Memory Data Register
CIR: Current Instruction Register
ACC: Accumulator
I am asking this question because I am unable to find credible sources that depict or state the exact location of the registers. Often their functionality and their role in Fetch-Decode-Execute Cycle is discussed, but no mention is given as to where exactly these registers located in the CPU.
