cant access a game - Star trek online on my new fibre internet coection

Good day! I recently upgraded to a fibre broadband from vdsl (im in NZ btw). everything was doing well a lot faster than before i.e. youtube, blizzard games, steam etc. However i do play a game called star trek online. For some reason i am unable to coect to the game servers. I did try using my older coection and its working perfectly well. This old coection will be discoected soon and i won't be able to play this game anymore. I am not a techie but i am very much a TREKKIE! Please help me.

PS. I have windows 10, i already tried shutting windows defender - game still doesnt work. I thought i try port forwarding... may not be the solution but still, game is not working either.
