Windows 10 input language stuck

I have one employee that has a problem switching her keyboard langage in Windows 10. The input language was set to 'Canadian Multilingual...' but for some reason, the keyboard layout changed to 'English US' (even though it is not defined has such). Everything was fine yesterday...

More details:

• The windows + space key doesn't work on her computer to switch the keyboard language.
• Control Panel -> Language -> Advanced settings: displays the correct input method 'Canadian Multi...' but that is not what the keyboard does.
• Welcome screen and new user accounts settings: under current user, input language says "Settings caot be read"
• Reboot does not help
• Control Panel -> Language: I tried to remove the English US language, but it comes back.

Not sure what else to look for. Any ideas?
