Can I use the eDp coection on a motherboard with any eDp panel?

I've seen that some mini-ITX motherboards, especially for embedded PCs, have onboard eDp coections. Here's an example:

Would coecting an eDp panel to this motherboard, such as the Chromebook Pixel panel (http://www.laptopscreen.com/English/model/Google/CHROMEBOOK~PIXEL/), work out of the box? Do I need to make custom cables, drivers and such? What about power and backlight?
