I have the following sequence of tasks scheduled in my Windows-7.

  1. At 5:06 AM, hibeate the computer by ruing the command "rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState 0,0,0"
  2. At 5:30 AM, run a 'task A'. This 'task A' has the "Wake the computer to run this task" enabled.

However, today, the task woke the computer from its hibeation at 5:46 AM instead of 5:30 AM. This information I got from Event Viewer logs.

There are no logs in the Event Viewer for the time period between 5:06 AM (when the computer entered hibeation) and 5:46 AM (when the computer woke from its hibeation).

I find this behavior surprising because I have NOT selected either the "Run the task as soon as possible after a scheduled start is missed" or the "If the task fails, restart every".(See the graphic below..I haven't selected either of them...) screenshot to show that I haven't enabled any of the options which could've triggered the task after the scheduled time

So. I have the following questions:

  1. Any ideas why the task ran at 5:46 AM instead of 5:30 AM?
  2. Also, any ideas why should the task run at 5:46 AM at all, when I haven't selected either of those two options?
