Today suddenly any Bluetooth capabilities seem to have disappeared from my laptop (ASUS Zenbook UX305UA-FC024T, Windows 10 pre-installed). One second everything was fine, the other both my mouse and my speakers stopped working and nothing Bluetooth related is even visible in my system, except for the Device Manager.

To be exact, there are no Bluetooth settings in the W10 network switches, neither in the new "Settings" app, neither in the old Control Panel sections. As I mentioned, the Bluetooth adapter is still visible in the Device Manager. The "Bluetooth Support" and "Bluetooth Handsfree" services are not ruing by default (I'm not sure if they should be).

Here's what I already tried:

  • Disabling and enabling the adapter in Device Manager
  • Uninstalling the drivers and letting Windows install them automatically
  • Uninstalling the drivers and installing them manually
  • Installing older drivers
  • This solution from a similar question
  • Manually starting all the Bluetooth services, and restarting them

I've ran out of things to try, short of a system restore but that's kind of a nuclear option.

Any ideas?
