Using Ubuntu GUI on cloud server

I have a google computer engine VM instance.

It is ruing ubuntu 14.04.

I use command line through SSH so far to interact with the server.

I wish to know if there is any way I can ' use the GUI of ubuntu ' on cloud server?

Has anyone ever done that?
