Simple revision control system on Windows

I'm looking for a revision control system to run on Windows that will automatically include changes in text files when I save them or at the very least on a schedule. I don't want to have to manually commit changes but have them picked up. I'm also not looking for anything that requires a complicated back-end, nor do I want something that ties into github or similar online repository system. Basically I'm making frequent changes to some text files, so frequent that manually backing them up or committing them is a drag, but I'd still like to capture the changes that I'm saving.
