Just bought this printer, everything works well wirelessly except airprint from my iPad. Hardware: HP m201dw printer, initially configured to a Windows 10 PC through USB to select wifi network, but now ruing wirelessly only on the main network on a dhcp-given ipv4. All default protocols enabled, including Airprint, Bonjour and IPP. Tried enabled IPPS, disabling ipv4, switching ePrint (web services), but nothing made a difference on airprint. I have a VM with Remote Desktop access enabled. It runs a regular Windows 8.1 Pro setup. I want to be able to login on my laptop without having to create and login to a local account before I can do that. The laptop has Windows 8.1 Pro installed. Basically when I tu on my laptop I want to enable a screen with IP/Computer, Useame and Password. I would then use the VM RDP settings to login. Is that possible? I have a FT232R device controlled by a VXM Stepping Motor Controller. I was able to communicate with the device on Mac(using Matlab). But I'm having trouble doing it on Windows. I am new to git, and currently working through the first tutorial on cloning a repository (see link below). I have created a repository on bitbucket, and am trying to clone it in Cygwin. I bought my laptop Lenovo-Z51 70 few months ago, with it I got Windows 8.1. Then when Windows 10 update came, I updated my windows to windows 10 and made a System Image Backup and stored it in my exteal hard disk. Now because of some issues my windows got corrupted. I am doing chkdsk C: /R but... That will take forever so I want to stop it and just do chkdsk v: /F instead. Ctrl+C doesn't work, you can't open Tasklist/manager. Oh yeah I am doing this because when trying to boot it said the (boot file?) on the drive didn't work/wasn't found, try to repair windows, and when I tried to just repair it said the disk was locked. When you search on Google for ways to optimize computer speed, in almost all lists you see something like this - 3) Remove uecessary files from your disk to make your computer run faster. This 'advice' is literally everywhere. Everyone from online article and my father believe that full disk = slow speed. I don't understand how -- the disk is only used for storing long-term and temporary files, the RAM and CPU are what determine computing speed! Why can't I just use a huge subnet like 10.113.0.0/16 compared to a smaller one like 10.113.0.0/24 ? I have a dead-ish SSD drive. BIOS can't read it, Linux and Windows can't read it. It seems like the controller is not completely dead (it does identify itself). Is there any hope of recovering the data on the drive using soft methods (without voiding the warranty)? There is nothing essential there (I do keep several backups of the really important stuff), but it would be nice to get the other stuff back nonetheless (savegames mostly, no big deal but kind of a pain), and I figure once I RMA it, it will be gone forever. I'm setting up a Samba file server on Ubuntu server 16.04 and wish to access shared folders on Windows 7 and Windows 10 PCs. I can access any shared folder when alexr is the valid user defined in smb.conf, but I cant access the samba network using Bek's credentials.
