How to configure CIFS that local and domain users have fast transfer speeds? I do have massive performance issues using CIFS / SMB / Samba in combination with users. It's independent from Active Directory (AD) being enabled or disabled. Local as well as domain users transfer data really slow. There as guest user is fine. However I'm not able to figure out that causes the bottleneck for authenticated users? And how to configure samba to avoid the problem? Using command prompt, how can I change my Gmail address useame on my local account back to Microsoft. It doesn't let me sign in. I'm starting working with ROS2 (currently in alpha7 state). For this I build up a small network with an Raspberry Pi (Raspbian Jessie) coected to an router via LAN and an host PC (Ubuntu Gnome 16.04) coected to the same router via WLAN. Inside the host are some virtual machines (using VirtualBox) installed with Debian Jessie and coected via a bridged network (wlp4s0). I can also use ping, ssh and scp between all my machines (Rasp, Host, VMs). I found that the Rasp doesn't coect to the VM's but the VM's are in contact to each other. So I can send messages between the VM's. But a talker-listener-coection between the Rasp and the VM's doesn't work. Can anyone give me some suggestions to find ou...

My Postfix server was working fine until last days but now, I can't receive emails from outside (I mean with an email of different domain name like gmail for example). I have a VM with Remote Desktop access enabled. It runs a regular Windows 8.1 Pro setup. I want to be able to login on my laptop without having to create and login to a local account before I can do that. The laptop has Windows 8.1 Pro installed. Basically when I tu on my laptop I want to enable a screen with IP/Computer, Useame and Password. I would then use the VM RDP settings to login. Is that possible? My environment is like: I have two users 'user1' and 'user2' both are in same group(say group name is 'abc') in server 'server1'. I have a couple of DB servers that each run a RemoteApp that users launch to access said DB. The problem is that the application itself does not always exit gracefully when the user ends it, which leaves a remote session open and the user is unable to access said app again. What I am trying to create a script that would terminate any current existing coection to each specific server (i.e. Script A would terminate for RemoteApp A, Script B would terminate for RemoteApp B). Not sure if it adds an extra complication but the users are all working in a Remote Desktop environment (i.e. user coects to RDS1 or RDS2 and then launch RemoteApps to DB1, DB2 etc. from there). This is a difficult issue to Google. I recently set up a Storage Space (3x 4TB) in Windows 10 and it worked as expected. No parity (Simple) as it’s only for backups. I then added another independent drive (1x 4TB) to the PC and in the process of trying to get Windows to recognise it I probably booted up with only 2/3 of my pool drives coected. Even with all three now coected; I now have no visible pool shown in Storage Spaces. This is fine - I'm happy to start again as it's only for backups - but the issue is Windows won't recognise any of the three drives (the new, non-pool drive is recognised) so I can’t format them and start again.
