I am using Windows Server 2012, python and selenium (installed freshly on 7 Jul 2016, driver version 2.53.1) and I am trying to open a site (on IE, 11.0.9600) with an authentication as follows: driver = webdriver.Ie(r"C:UsersalexDocumentsPythonSeleniumDriverIEDriverServer_Win32_2.53.1IEDriverServer.exe") driver.get("http://user:password@my.test.server.com") to which I get the following error: selenium.common.exceptions.WebDriverException: Message: Failed to navigate to http://user:password@my.test.server.com.
