I have a brand new computer with an SSD and an HDD both plugged in with SATA. Windows is installed on the SSD (C:) and the HDD (E:) is practically empty. I want the default windows libraries (i.e Downloads, Documents, Pictures etc.) to all be located on the HDD in order to save space on the SSD. I moved the downloads folder there using the properties menu (in the Location tab), but I guess I entered the Documents Folder location wrong and now it thinks the whole disk is that folder, and I can't restore it to default - I get an "invalid path" error. After installing the Windows 10 aiversary update, my computer boots very slow. The first part of booting (bios, loading Windows) is as fast as it used to be, but after logging in I'm stuck on a black screen with just my cursor for over a minute before it seems to continue with the login. I made a video to explain what I mean. Also, when I shutdown, Windows says that Spotify is blocking the shutdown - Which is strange because why would Spotify do this? It will stay on this screen for about a minute until it just gives up and I'm back on my desktop with everything except Spotify shut down. I've recently upgraded from Win7 to Win10 and have noticed something very peculiar. I have a Windows 2012 R2 Server working as Domain Controller/DHCP/DNS/File Sharing Server and noticed that browsing through my network drives is considerably slower than it was under Win7. Windows Explorer sometimes takes a few seconds to retrieve the file list and when it doesn't it simply displays the list as is and sorts it according to my preferences afterwards. However, network speed is still as good as it ever was. For example, I can play a 1080p movie stored on the server without trouble and can copy a file from/to the server at full speed (100 Mbps) without seeing any loss of speed or anything. This m...

Not sure how to ask this. My ISP throttles my coection for certain data types at 3pm each day (ie. torrents), this has never been an issue under Ubuntu because it never effects any other kind of browsing or inteet work. But since going dual boot with Windows 10, at 3pm on Windows only, my net slows to a crawl, now I know that they are throttling but if I switch back to Ubuntu I can browse and download and upload at normal speeds, so why am I having issues with Windows? My inteet randomly starts to slow down, and so every now and then I have to click and open the WiFi tab from the taskbar button, where I see there are only 1 or 2 networks shown, when in fact, there are actually close to 15. I tu the Inteet off, then back on, and then I see all the networks again- when I recoect to my network, it starts to be super fast again. I have to do this fairly often. My computer is about a year and a half old. Sometimes, however, the WiFi button in the taskbar glitches, and I can't discoect from my Inteet, or coect to any other networks, or sometimes the WiFi tab won't even open. Is anyone experiencing the windows start search as slow, or is it just me? Googling for this doesn't result in any similar links. Compared to windows 7, once you start typing you will immediately get partial results matching files (for example in your documents folder). In windows 10 I have to press enter, and then after about 5-10 sec will get results. I have about 300k indexed entities. I'm having extremely slow shutdowns of Windows 10 under VirtualBox. Occasionally the shutdown is within "normal" parameters (as compared to Windows 10 ruing natively on an i5 Dell laptop), but typically they take 10 to 20 minutes. Updates are not occurring as far as I know (no "Update and Shutdown" menu item nor update progress indicators).
