My router and wifi work fine for all devices. However I prefer to use an etheet when I want to play online games with my laptop. When I start the computer with an etheet b/t my laptop and the router, the inteet and wifi drops entirely for all devices and even the laptop w/ the etheet doesn't have inteet. If I restart the router and modem while the laptop is etheet'ed to the router, it says there's an inteet coection, but nothing loads. So then I restart the laptop and the inteet coection drops again. I've seen a few answers on how to get the router's IP address, though none of them works, it shows the router's address but I can't reach its page (and I'm sure it's different from what's shown!). So, how do I get to the actual working IP address of my router? BTW it's a D-Link DIR-615 router. Let's block ads! بخوانید...
ادامه مطلبOk here is my situation. My sisters family moved in with us and there kind of stubbo with the inteet. They want to use their router for their own network. The way I have it setup is we have our service provider modem going to our router witch creates our network and then their router is plugged into our router for their own network in their room. All they use it for is their PlayStation and phones. ( total waste if you ask me ) any time I do something with our router it effects theirs. Here is my question. Is it possible to go from the ISP modem to both routers so nether of them are coected to each other. I tried doing a switch from the modem and then to both routers but only one router gets...
ادامه مطلبHello, I have two wireless routers configured properly following my Inteet Service Povider instructions. Our house is composed of two floors and in each floor there is an ADSL socket, to which is coected each of my two routers (using ADSL filters). My problem is that i can't get the two routers to work at the same time. In order for one of them to work properly and coect me to the inteet , the other one should be shut down. So, is there any kind of configuration that could be made in order to get the two routers to work properly at the same time? N.B: The two routers are separated by distance and caot be linked to each other (LAN-to-LAN or Lan-to-WAN). Thanks in advance Let's block ads! بخوا...
ادامه مطلبI have 3 routers on my network. Only one does the actual routing, the other 2 act as "switches" and wireless access points. This was accomplished by disabling DHCP and changing the IP ranges, so none of the routers have conflicting address ranges. A fairly lengthy cable in the network has gone bad and has limited my coection speed to 10Mb/s half duplex. Until I replace the cable, I want to disable auto negotiation and attempt to use 100Mb/s or 1000Mb/s link speeds. The "switch" (router) in question is in a difficult location to reach. How would I figure out the IP addresses of these other two routers? I don't recall exactly what they were set to, but they are on class C networks. I am ruing ...
ادامه مطلبI have a weird network issue. I have the Bell Hub 2000 router and there seems to be a massive bottleneck. If I’m transferring files from the NAS to my PC (tops out at 10 MB/s which is not normal) and try to download something at the same time (tops out at 1 MB/s, 8 MB/s without NAS transfer). The TV also begins to start stuttering. It seems that all traffic is directed through the router. I’m not sure what I need to change on the Bell router to solve this issue. ادامه مطلبI have an ISP-provided router with one available wired port, and wireless. Because the router is placed in a bad spot in my apartment, I have coected a Cisco E900 wireless router with a cable. This device is set to bridge mode. Originally, the ISP had set the local IP network to be the 192.168.0 network, and I had given the E900 a fixed IP of 192.168.0.2, which didn't conflict with any addresses used or controlled by the ISP router's DHCP server. The ISP replaced their router, and the local network changed to 192.168.1. As the Cisco router is in bridge mode, I assumed that it would not be affected in any way by this, other than the web management interface no longer being accessible. I can a...
ادامه مطلبOur household has a modem/wireless router provided for us by our ISP, Consolidated Communications. I wasn't even aware of the fact that it had wireless capability (since we've just been using it as a modem for an actual wireless router) until relatively recently when I started picking up a "wireless" SSID that wasn't secured at all. For some reason I suspected that it was related to our network, so I started tinkering with it. I could not coect to it through http- I tried many default IP addresses, including the one that the manual said was going to work, 192.168.1.1. My mac reports that the router ip address is something that doesn't look like a local ip- 209.34.xx.xxx (I'm unsure about the...

For some unexplained reason they set up a second router coected to the fiber router with an etheet cable and we can only coect to the normal router (The fiber modem is not visible on the network). I am trying to set up port forwarding on the network with no success - I'm starting to think it's because I caot coect to the router with the fiber line coming in. Can someone please explain how they set it up and what I should do about it. Let's block ads! بخوانید...
ادامه مطلب(NOTE: all the machines in here are VirtualBox machines. Also, excuse if my english fails sometimes, is not my main language) Hello, I'm in the middle of a project and one of the things I need to do is allow the host computer to acces the webpage in the server located in my DMZ. Thing is, while I can access the page in the DMZ while the eth0 is active, which is NAT and already has the ports bridge done, I want the coection to go through an Ubuntu that works as a router and firewall, so the DMZ has the eth0 down and only uses the eth1 which is coected to the Ubuntu. The Ubuntu already has an inteal eth2 (the 1 is being used for something else) and a NAT eth0. I have a script that allows the D...

ادامه مطلبI have an IP video doorbell that coects using a 2-pair telephone line. I have managed to coect it to my DSL router (Linksys WAG320N) successfully and coection is working fine with live streaming over inteet. Now, due to limited upload speed of my DSL router (only 512 Kbps) where I need a minimum of 1 Mbps upload line, I used a 4G Router but when I coect the same 2-pair line to the router (HUAWEI LTE CPE B593) it does not fire and the led light does not blink. Actually the Etheet port status shows as discoected. So, I tried coecting the line to a switch then to the DSL router, but again it does not coect and shows as discoected. I tried different setups and the only thing that works is coecti...

My ideal state is, i can have specific devices like my desktop and some of my mobile devices to go onto the fibre gateway. I've tried using DHCP allocation on DIR-868L and DIR-605L to always allocate my desktop to 192.168.0.101, but it doesn't work when DIR-605L dhcp responds first. My set-up is currently: Cable (WAN) -> modem -> dir-605L router A (wifi & Lan) -> dir-605L router B(Wifi & to fibre router dir-868L via PoE) Fibre (WAN) -> ONT -> dir-868L router C(wifi & Lan & coected to 2nd dir-605L via PoE) Router A has DHCP enabled an...

I'm having problems with file transfer speeds between the mac and linux boxes when the switch is coected to the router via the powerline adapters. If I discoect the switch from the powerline adapter and manally assign IP addresses to the mac and linux boxes I get fast transfers. But that breaks the inteet coection. When I recoect the rest of the network file transfers slow to a crawl and there's a lot of activity (flashing lights) on the powerline adapter. It's as if t...
