Am I correct thinking, that in the case of NAT and correct firewall config, one should see no any packages with "source address" equals to global IP inside the LAN? Or NAT server will keep source address while translating? I am observing multiple packages inside LAN from "source address" pointing to global IPs. Does this mean firewall is setup incorrectly? I would be glad if you prove me wrong but apparently Selenium IDE is fairly unreliable. For example, the last command in the following script does not have any effect inside the script but if I double click on it separately it opens the file selection dialog. Why? I've added a timed local backup on my Synology Diskstation DS409. I added a remote shared folder to the station that I want to backup. I do NOT want that the remote system backups TO the Diskstation, I want the Diskstation to GET the contents from the remote system. However, the backup itself works fine. It started and copied all files from the share to a local folder. Now on the next schedule run, the backup only adds new created files during that period. Old files, that are changed won't get copied. It does not matter if I use incremental feature or not. When I try to coect to my network drive (cloudspace) using the AD uname and passwd it says uname and passwd is incorrect and drive mapping fails. But when I update the same password in windows credential manager this works (network drive coects without any issues) Can anyone help me understand why does the password update on network drive doesn't work and credential manager works? I would like to know why some software doesn't have an update option? Programs like for example "Steelseries Engine", "HwInfo", "VirtualBox" do not update themselves. When they notify me about a new version, I have to visit the homepage and download the new version and install it. Why can these programs not just update themselves like others do? My VMPlayer 12 on Windows 8 host does not allow me to use scroll on mouse or touchad. That's strange, but sometimes in some programs (the guest is Maverics) it "kingda" works. Also, it works as expected if I hold down CTRL. How to get it working?...

So far I know that if Wireshark does not display ARP frames before ICMP frames, it's usually because there are ARP requests in the cache. I did check the cache and deleted any ARP data in the cache: sudo arp -d -a Then, I start Wireshark, add a filter: arp or icmp to filter out any traffic except ARP or ICMP data. After that, I try to run a simple ping request: ping -c4 www.google.com Which works, and Wireshark successfully displays ICMP data. I wanted to set up a page at GitLab. I thought it'll be something similar like GitHub's, where they provide you a sub domain under the GitHub domain. However, as I'm reading the documentation and checking the settings page of the project, I've started to realise I need to have my own domain registration, and GitLab "just" sort of provides a hosting service for that domain. I want to coect two encrypted usb drives to an airport extreme. Neither does show up in preferences or finder. The password of the harddisk is accepted by the airport. Another NAS in the same Wlan is acessible from my computer. If I unplug the usb drive from the airport, the airport asks me for the drive's password and accepts the correct password. For some reason, my inteet explorer just will not recognized HTML5 videos. I'm fairly certain that my computer is at fault, because my colleague has tested it with his W10 IE11, and it works. When visiting the HTML5 Youtube test page, it looks like this: Image But that means the browser doesnt even recognize the tag?! When I open a video on youtube, it gets delivered with flash. I read somewhere that it might be because of a missing media feature pack, but I already have that installed. I've also tried ruing it in compatibility view and other document views but to no avail. I have all of my computers wired to a network and they can all ping each other. The router does not have wireless capabilities and I would like my phone to be coected to that network so that I can coect to the computers. I created a hotspot on my computer in hopes that I would be on the same network but the IP address of my phone does not match the ones the network with the computers have. I'd like my phone that can't be wired to be with the wired coection so that it can coect to my computers that on a wired coeciton. This post relates to an earlier thread of mine to fix a problem with Microsoft Update (MSU) during which I had to re-install MSU under Windows 7, 64bit, SP1. I installed this Microsoft update to fix the problem. However, in the process of fixing the problem I had also unchecked the setting "install updates for other Microsoft products" in the MSU setting, as is shown below in highlighted yellow [unfortunately in German, but the idea should be clear]. After installing Spamassassin on my Ubuntu server, spamassassin does not start. In the past I once had it ruing, then deinstalled it. Perhaps there is something left of this install that blocks it now? I removed the old install by "apt-get purge spamassissin", "apt-get --purge autoremove" and manually removing old log directory and file /etc/default/spamassassin. so i have Kali in Virtualbox 5.0 And it detects my TP-LINK TL-WN722N as a USB device in lsusb. I have networkmanager set to "true" But my Kali does NOT detect it as a wireless device, which i need to pen test my own network. I have 1 NAT interface in the VB Network settings, and i have USB Controller tued on, but i do not have any USB Device Filters added. I tested the adapter and ISO in a live boot, and they worked perfectly. Thanks in advance!
