I am ruing Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and am using Vagrant to run a Ubuntu 14.04 Server with a LAMP stack setup. I am working on a Laravel 5.2 project, but constantly have issues with the permissions in the storage folder/sub-folders. Currently, the folders are owned by my user/group. Anytime some file needs to be created or written too, I get a permission denied error. I can fix this with by chmoding the files to 777. This however does't fix the issue of having the problem when a new file is made (for sessions). I could set the files/folder to inherit permissions of 777. This is fine for a development server I suppose, but I would like to do this the right way, not just the fast way. What permissions...

ادامه مطلبI'm setting up a flash drive that someone else has to use for both Windows 10 and Ubuntu 14.04. Both contain programs for each OS. However, I caot set the execute flag on Linux, so I caot run any programs from the flash drive on Linux. I'll check the option only for it to uncheck itself a second later. I realized that this is due to the file system of the flash drive, which is FAT32. FAT32 does not support the execute flag. NTFS only allows the execute flag if I do usermapping or permissions, but that is out of the question, as it would take too long and be too advanced for other users that would need to create additional flash drives. Is there another file system that I can use that would h...

ادامه مطلبI just did something really dumb and I'm wondering if there's any way to reverse it. So I have an AWS EC2 server instance and I was trying to edit the php.ini in /etc. It kept telling me that I didn't have permissions to write to it, so I just thought, "Okay, well nobody's ever really going to see this site, I'll just chmod everything." So I did chmod -R 750 ... I know... I know... What was I thinking. So now it messed everything up and I can't SSH in with my ec2-user login anymore... Is there any way to fix this or did I just permanently wreck it? Let's block ads! بخوانید...
