My gateway has IP 10.10.10.1, and I am trying to get a Windows Server (10.10.10.2) to provide DHCP and DNS services. I have set up DHCP and DNS in the Windows server, and disabled them in the router (Netgear).
However, I am running into problems. It seems that hosts on the LAN cannot find any DNS.
The IP assigment throws the following waing: "Multiple default gateways are intended to provide redundancy to a single network (such as an intranet or the Inteet). They will not function properly when the gateways are on two separate, disjoint networks (such as one on your intranet and one on the Inteet). Do you want to save this configuration?".
I suspect that I have done something wrong with the assignment of routers and gateways, but I cannot figure it out.
