
Running a cPanel server with ModSec. Trying to upload media to WordPress, any file larger than ~ 125KB is throwing a 404. I ask this question out of interest. I have linux installed (Debian) and I created a tmpfs partition in RAM for some temporary stuff, see here. So far so good. When I put images or text in there and open/modify it, all works very well and superfast. Yesterday I wrote a small program in C (out of fun), compiled it with gcc and tried to run it directly in my tmpfs partition. To my surprise, I get an error saying permission denied. I mentioned on some Linux systems, that there are actual files on the root partition in /dev in unmounted state. These will be covered by the devtmpfs mount once established, which usually happens quite early eg. when the inital ramdisk remounts anything to the root partition. So the files will never be accessed I guess. Is this an artefact left by the distributors, or is there any reason for those device files? Let's block ads! بخوانید...
