I am ruing Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and am using Vagrant to run a Ubuntu 14.04 Server with a LAMP stack setup. I am working on a Laravel 5.2 project, but constantly have issues with the permissions in the storage folder/sub-folders. Currently, the folders are owned by my user/group. Anytime some file needs to be created or written too, I get a permission denied error. I can fix this with by chmoding the files to 777. This however does't fix the issue of having the problem when a new file is made (for sessions). I could set the files/folder to inherit permissions of 777. This is fine for a development server I suppose, but I would like to do this the right way, not just the fast way. What permissions...

I have a home network built around an ancient computer that I've tued into a router, ruing Debian Wheezy. The wireless part is based on a TP-LINK TL-WN851ND PCI card on the hardware side, and uses hostapd on the software side. Now, I have recently obtained a new phone, on which I am ruing CyanogenMod 12.1 (equivalent to Android 5.1). This device can coect to my wireless network, but most network operations (e.g. downloading things) result in timeouts, requiring retries. Fetching emails over IMAP is particularly terrible, almost invariably resulting in timeout exceptions. If a coection succeeds, it's fast, but getting the coection to succeed is problematic. When iPhone is plugged in computer ruing Windows 10 it starts installing drivers. Windows doesn't show UAC screen, or user permission to install drivers. Sure, it is convenient, but what is the security model here? Does it mean that any usb stick can silently gain permission for arbitrary code execution? Yesterday i encountered INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE blue screen error So i performed a clean install(Formated c drive and reinstalled os) then today When i start my pc it shows Recovery error Try again shows same error f8 does do anything screen blinks and same screen come back So i created Windows Bootable Media to repair or Reinstall windows But after loading files screen goes black and nothing shows up... I have a RT-AC68P Router That i am trying to port forward Port 28015 in order to host a server for a game called rust. Form some reason the port WILL NOT open no matter what i do i have been working on this for days. so far i have configed my router to open the port and tued off all firewalls that could possibly be in my way on all the computers as well as on the router its self. so i thought just for fun lets plug my computer right into the modem and see if the ports are even open without the router there at all and the ports are still closed..... how in the world do i port forward 28015 if the modem is stopping me? in the end i guess my question is. can my crap modem that charter gave me h...

I have a Gigabyte Brix GB-BXi7-4500 which comes with a half size mini PCIe slot already occupied by WiFi + BT card. I want to use a Magewell XI100DE-SDI video capture card which requires a host interface of PCI Express x1. As per my knowledge, both the mini PCIe and PCI Express x1 run the same standard but only differ slot physical sizes. I purchased mini PCIe to PCI express adapters and tried to coected the card to the host system. I also powered the adapter using a power supply from another computer. I have been having issues with installations of any software on windows 7. I do not know when the problem began, but I first noticed it last week when I tried to install Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2015. The installation ran to 99% and then just kept ruing in perpetuity without completing. I ended up having to end the task in order to regain use of my pc. This week I attempted to install TurboTax and ran into the same issue, install to 99% and then it just stalls. Any attempt to run an installation after ending this task fails to even initialize.
